Our Mission
To offer clear and trustworthy information about Parkinson’s disease. We aim to bridge the gaps in care and knowledge, giving patients, caregivers, and professionals the tools they need for better management of the condition.
Our Vision
To inspire and support everyone affected by Parkinson’s. We envision a community where patients and their families can find information, practical solutions, and hope — so they can live full and meaningful lives.
Who We Are
I am Ivi Antoniadou, a pharmacist with a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Oxford. I have more than 15 years of experience in medical research and scientific writing, collaborating with universities, research institutes, and the pharmaceutical industry. I have always been inspired by the need to translate complex scientific concepts into clear, useful knowledge for everyone. Through Parkinson Pharos, my goal is to make scientific knowledge about Parkinson’s accessible to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals — helping them find reliable answers and practical support.
Co-founder of this initiative is Michalis, a young-onset Parkinson’s patient, who shares his personal experiences with honesty and authenticity. His wife, Maria, is also actively involved, writing about their journey as a couple and a family, giving a true voice to caregivers.
Together, we are creating a space of information, support, and community. A place where scientific knowledge meets personal experience — and where everyone can find inspiration, understanding, and practical help.
